METEOR MILE 2017

A unique opportunity to race on Gloucestershire Airport's Runway. The measured course of 1 mile, will be floodlit and will give you a running experience different from any other.

  

Prizes:    1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & 1st, 2nd, 3rd Female (no age categories).  1st Male and 1st Female Almost Athlete. 1st boy and 1st girl (aged 5-14)

 

Race Distance:  1 Mile 

 

Race Start  7.45 pm

 

Race Entry Price£8.00 affiliated/£10.00 non affiliated (entry on the day available, subject to online entry numbers).  Entries for Children aged 5-14 only available on the day, entry fee is £5.00.

   

Venue:  Gloucestershire Airport is situated between Gloucester and Cheltenham and is sign posted from Junctions 10 and 11 on the M5 and A40.  The Airport is a 10 minute taxi ride from Gloucester train station, 5 minute taxi ride from Cheltenham train station.

 

Ample parking is available at the facility. The postcode for Sat Nav’s is GL51 6SR    

 

Children may take part in this event, but children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult

 

Registration & Briefing Instructions

 

Registration Time:        Check in from 6:15pm, gates close at 7.30pm.  

  

Race Numbers:            Race numbers will be collected from the registration desk on race day. 

 

                                   You will not receive anything by post.

 

                                    Please attach your bib number to your front whilst racing so that it can be clearly seen.

 

                                   Race belts may also be used.

 

                                   Competitors may not race with sombody else's number.

 

              

Times:                         Race briefing ten minutes prior to race start. 

                                   Competitors must attend the race briefing on the day.

                                   Information on the course and rules relative to competitor safety

                                   will be outlined at the briefing.
