Nearly 50 Almost Athletes made a bang at this year’s Guy Fawkes 5. Gareth Edwards pipped James Wilkinson to the finish-line in 31 minutes. Dale Midwinter roared home a fraction ahead of Edward Collier.Katie Coleman and Karen Galpin picked up prizes for their categories.

The 2nd race in the 2012/13 Gloucestershire cross-country series took place at Pittville park on Saturday the 3rd with a strong turnout from Almost Athletes. Anthony Bailey led the men home and, for the first time, Almost Athletes claimed a second ladies team.

We are delighted to announce that our membership has now passed the 300 mark. This is a fantastic achievement for Cheltenham's largest running club which is now in its 24th year and is testament to the club's friendly supportive ethos.

A crisp but sunny Autumnal morning greeted the team of Almost Athletes who took part in the Chester marathon at the weekend. First to cross the line was Mark Willicott in 3.44. Alison Hume and Virginia Pawlyn had cracking runs securing PBs of 3.56 and 4.14 respectively.

There was a great club turnout for Almost Athletes in both the ladies and men at the first Cross Country race of the season at Cotswold Farm Park. Sharon Bullimore was first lady home for the club and Anthony Bailey first man - in 10th position overall.

Several Almosts made their way over to the Forest of Dean for the Autumn Half marathon.  This scenic route proved challenging to say the least.  Nick Spice was first home for the club in 1:37.
