"Just a quick email to say thank you and congratulations regarding yesterday. The course was absolutely beautiful and the local/club support fantastic. I am heading around the country completing a 10km race in every county in aid of MIND. With twenty-four done (and a "few" more to go), I have to say that this is my favourite so far." Ruth Mann

"Brilliant event on Saturday, I really enjoyed it and will be back next year.
Congrats and thanks for all the organising!" Kate Fitton

From Lucifer's Kitchen: A Devilishly Good Bake

Devil's cakeIngredients:

1 Hill, large
150 Lunatics (approx.)
150 Bananas (ditto)
Lashings of Mud, preferably wet and sticky
A good dose of High Spirits
A sprinkling of good quality Organisers and Marshalls
A few Little Devils

Despatch the lunatics to the hill. After a while, they will slowly rise to the top, ably assisted by the Marshalls. In the meantime, allow the little devils to run riot. After 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on maturity, the lunatics will return from the hill. By this time they will have gathered a good coating of mud, which should have a very sticky consistency. Allow the high spirits to permeate. Stuff the lunatics with the bananas, and then heap praise on the organisers.

Serving suggestion: Good with a BBQ. To wow your guests with a bit of gallic flair, serve up on Bastille day for a storming good time.
